A collaboration in the works for over the past year, Cleobella x Loverly Grey has finally blossomed. Read on to learn more about Brittany Sjogren and how this collection came to life.

How did this collaboration come to life, and what felt inevitable about the pairing of Loverly Grey and Cleobella?

I’ve been a longtime wearer of Cleobella, so the partnership felt like a natural fit from the start. I’ve had a relationship with the brand for years and have always admired their commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship, partnering with artisans around the world to create each piece. I also love that they are a woman-owned brand. Cleobella has long been a dream collaborator of mine, so seeing this collection come to life feels especially meaningful.

Cleobella was born from a journey around the world, has travel ever quietly reshaped the way you see beauty or get dressed? 

Definitely. Every time I come back from a trip, I feel more and more inspired to style things in new ways. Travel also gives you the opportunity to admire the style of wherever you go, and then bring your favorite aspects into your own wardrobe.

There's something about wearing something handmade, do you feel a difference when a piece was made with that kind of intention?

Absolutely. This is one of the main reasons I’ve loved Cleobella for so long. The craftsmanship behind every piece is unmatched and is something I’ve spoken about when sharing Cleobella with the Loverly Grey community in the past. Finding a brand with this level of intentionality can be difficult today, so it’s a true standout.

What does it mean to you to invest in pieces that are made to be kept, worn, and eventually passed down?

This is something that’s very important to me. I find so much value in quality pieces that will stay in my closet forever. As a mom of three girls, I often think about those special pieces in my closet that will one day be theirs, and this collection definitely includes those.

Desert, mountains, or coast, and which Cleobella piece are you wearing there?

Coast! We chose Palm Beach as the location for the shoot for this collection. It’s hard for me to choose just one outfit, but I would say the set. You can dress it up for a dinner out with a sandal or wedge, or wear it over your swimsuit during the day as a cover-up on the beach. 

What do you hope a woman feels the moment she slips into something from this collection?

I hope she feels confident, beautiful, and truly special, just like the piece she’s wearing.
