A Day in Paris with Lena Ballayre
Field Notes: A Day in Paris with Lena Ballayre
No list, no reservations, just a good coat and comfortable shoes. That was the plan for the day: start on the Right Bank in the 16th, cross the river for the booksellers, and end at the Louvre as the light faded. Here's where we went, and what she wore.
1. Café le Carrousel
But first - coffee. Starting the day at Café le Carrousel, a proper Parisian café near the Louvre, with wicker chairs facing the street. Watching the city go by with an espresso and croissant in the Emilia Mini Dress.
2. Photo Op at Bambini
When in Paris, an Eiffel Tower photo is a must. A great spot for it is Bambini, right beside the Palais de Tokyo. It sits across the river like it's posing for you. A perfect backdrop for the Chayse Sweater– soft, easy, and oh-so-Parisienne with the playful ruffled neckline.

3. The flower market
Buckets of whatever is in season, vendors wrapping stems in brown paper, the scent of fresh blooms... all a perfect setting for the Hartley Mini Dress, which looks great with an armful of flowers, bien sûr.

4. The bouquinistes and Pont des Arts
Then it was across the river to the Left Bank, where the bouquinistes line the Seine with their green boxes of old books, postcards, and prints. It’s easy to lose an entire afternoon here. In the Fawn Ankle Dress we drifted from stall to stall, then out onto the Pont des Arts, where the whole city opens up in both directions.

5. The Seine at Pont Neuf
Down the stone steps to the water's edge by Pont Neuf, the oldest bridge in Paris. This is where Parisians come to sit, read, or do nothing at all. The Ravenna Ankle Dress moved with the breeze off the river.

6. Tuileries and rue de Rivoli
By late afternoon the air turns cooler, and the Tuileries empties out. Perfect time to layer on the Le Carre Trench. A trench in Paris in the fall is less a choice than a uniform.

Until next time! Au revoir!
