A Weekend Getaway To Maine

A Weekend Getaway To Maine

FOOD

Fore Street Kitchen: Amazing dinner experience - make reservations!

Street & Company: Favorite seafood! Make reservations, fills up super quickly!

Eventide: Bougie seafood and lobster rolls $$$ but fun! They don’t take reservations so you need to put your name in & then walk around. Super popular!

Highroller: It’s a great lobster roll / casual seafood spot for people who don’t love seafood because they have yummy sauces like a lime aioli.

Scratch Bagels: Favorite bagel in the world because they are sourdough and they also have other yummy baked goods.

Holy Donut: Famous in Maine because the donuts made out of potatoes. It’s cool to try but make sure you go earlier in the day because they sell out quick!

STAY

Stay: Blind Tiger - exquisitely decorated guest house and social space in an updated nineteenth-century home located in the heart of Portland. We loved it!

WHAT TO DO

Judith Boutique: Portland has a LOT of touristy shops, this one wasn't touristy at all + was refined and felt well curated + carried a lot of our favorite brands!

FOOD

Long Grain: We didn't get to eat here since it's closed on Mondays but the locals rave about it. Thai food with an emphasis on Maine seafood, think lobster fried rice!

40 Paper: Great little Italian spot with a view of the water. Make reservations - books up quick!

STAY

Stay: WhiteHall - An adorable little Inn that is just up the street from the water. They have firepits all around outside that were fun to sit around and play games at night. Fun bar area + breakfast is included and homemade every morning!

FOOD

Social Kitchen: Fun place to stop for happy hour before heading to dinner. Get the Pineapple Express if you love Mezcal, it came with vanilla bean foam on top and is one of the best cocktails I've had. The shisito peppers were also great!

Havana: We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here! Great mojitos obviously. Also heard it's one of the Obama's favorite spots when they're in town.

Abel's Lobster: MUST GO! Our favorite spot we visited in Maine. The location, food, drinks, and service could not have been better. We got fresh made strawberry margaritas, the best hummus and pickled veggies, and drool-worthy lobster rolls.

STAY

Stay: Sand Bar Cottage Inn - Another really cute little B&B style Inn. The rooms were just redecorated and are sweet and spacious. A chef comes every morning to make breakfast and it really could not have been more yummy! Also, since Bar Harbour can get a little touristy, this Inn is in the perfect location just outside of downtown, but still an easy walk.

WHAT TO DO

Acadia National Park: Why everyone comes to Bar Harbour! Stunning hikes and views.
