#BellaBeautyTribe Feature No. 7: Gita Vasseghi

What makes you beautiful?
This is a love story about the women we know and the women we want to know.
The go getters, the humble souls, the women who inspire us to be the best version of ourselves.
The true goddess who is centered in love and joy.
The women to whom you can relate, who find humor in their own flaws, and who tell it to you straight—when no one else will.
A celebration of beautiful women who shine bright from within.
They don't follow the pack, they lead the crowd.
Their beauty is contagious.
They lead with their heart and follow their dreams.
They balance so much, and they do it with grace and beauty.
They are the true definition of Bella.
"I'm the type of person who feeds off the energy of others.  Surrounding myself with people that are full of light is so important in keeping a positive outlook.  When I think of Gita Vasseghi, the sassy Sales Manager of Lefties Showroom under boss lady Ellen Cope, I think of pure happiness.  This woman is the enigmatic type that captures the attention of an entire room with her radiance.  Whenever I get the pleasure of spending time with Gita,  I leave with that euphoric feeling one gets after hours of incessant belly-laughs.  This girl is seriously FUNNY, the type of friend who will instantly uplift your spirits with her positivity and incredible gift of humor.  Her witty, outgoing personality and warm demeanor are what make Gita a welcome part of the Bella Tribe.
Gita also happens to be the co-owner of a genius little invention called No Mo-Stache, a portable waxing kit for the girl on the go.  Let's be honest, we all get a little lady-moustache from time to time, but Gita's product has got you covered.  My kit especially comes in handy when travelling or too busy with work for salon visits! Watching her drive and work ethic while she grows her brand, while still putting equal energy into Lefties, is inspiring.
Gita also has an incredible gift of style.  She is one of the most stylish women I know; the type that can put on the quirkiest item, mix it with a few vintage pieces, and walk out the door looking like a million bucks- leaving you in the dust wishing you had thought of that outfit first.  I'm constantly inspired by her aesthetic and seeing her re-imagine Cleobella designs within her own wardrobe and other Leftie's brands.
I feel so grateful to have Gita selling my brand through Lefties showroom.  The loyalty she has to Lefties, and to the brand, is inspiring.  Her warmth, radiance, strength, and dedication make her the embodiment of the word Bella."

"I was introduced to Cleobella back in 2012 when I started working at Lefties Showroom. I fell in love with the story, the brand and of course Angela. The word “Bella” to me means strength and inner beauty. The world is full of beauties but a Bella has inner power- she is unstoppable and achieves every goal she sets her mind to.

I am Iranian, both of my parents were born in Iran. They both immigrated here when they were 17 so my hustle comes directly from them. My mother was the biggest inspiration to me; she was our matriarch and bread winner when my father was unable to work because of his health.  She always encouraged me to pursue what makes me happy. I studied art history at UCLA and dabbled in the art scene for a bit. I didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would. I decided to enter the fashion industry and I landed my gig at lefties three years ago and never looked back. My mother’s advice was do what makes you happy and you will be successful… she was right."

"Ellen Cope is the owner of Lefties Showroom aka the Queen Bee Boss Lady. By far the coolest part of working at Lefties is we are all great friends. Ellen is a boss but it never feels like the terrible fashion stereotype i.e. the Devil wears Prada. We are all on the same level and we work great as a team. That is the secret to the success of Lefties and why everyone has so much love for Ellen.

A typical day at Lefties Showroom involves a lot of emailing! We wholesale 9 brands out of the showroom. I manage the showroom so we constantly are sharing current collections to stores and handling all communication between the brands and the buyers."

"No Mo-Stache is a portable lip wax kit I created with my business partner Jennifer Paschall. She owns a salon in North Hollywood called The Beauty Strip and I travel a lot for work. We wanted a product that would eliminate salon visits for the gal on the go.

Currently I am most passionate about No Mo-Stache- I have been working on this project for three years and finally feeling the hard work pay off. This month we are currently prepping to ship out to a major retailer and will be in 350 stores throughout the US. The coolest thing about the entire project was seeing an idea executed start to finish. So many cool ideas come in and out of our minds but the lesson for me was to act on those ideas because you really don’t know where it can take you."

"The dog in the photos is the love of my life Toshiba Vasseghi. I named her off my busted Toshiba laptop since she is such a lap dog. I rescued her last year and I have never been happier. She is also a Lefty she rolls with me everywhere.  You can catch Toshi and myself at Lefties Monday – Friday; when we are not shredding on our emails we are hanging hard at Elysian Park or the reservoir in Silver Lake."

"My personal style is a little vintage meets modern. I love the mix of the two. I love the 70’s- 90’s. My most favorite pieces are my shredded levi’s and my vintage 70’s palazzo pants. These were part of an insane two piece set purchased from one of my favorite vintage spots in LA Shabon, and I feel like these must have been made specifically for me since they fit like a dream. Another great gem I love is Avalon Vintage in Highland Park, it is right next door to Good Girl Dinette and Eastside Staple.

I’m inspired by old movies- my favorite visual masterpieces are American Gigolo with Lauren Hutton, and how can I not say Purple Rain. I usually dress like Prince or Appolinia for a week after watching this flick. Also the showroom favorite is Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s dead…Christina Applegate kills it with her 90’s fashion game and the movie coined the showroom auto response “I am right on top of it Rose!” when our inbox’s get overloaded and we try to play it cool.

My décor is like my style. I really love the mix of the two, that is why I think you can really create home with a few signature pieces. My favorite piece is the large hanging macramé, it really brightens up the room and makes me feel happy. My odd animals wall makes me laugh too- I believe my spirit animal is an Alpaca so I had to snag this alpaca oil painting up when I saw it!"

"The Cleobella necklace I absolutely adore is this citrine crystal necklace. Citrine has healing powers besides being a stone of success the healing properties. The stone encourages self-expression and negates bad vibes. The necklace holds a special place in my heart, I always lend it when I see a place where its powers could be useful.  The game we are playing is called “Star + Gate” a super rad game from the 70’s my friends from Ojai shared with me. This game is a symbolic way of interpreting questions you want answered. Similar to the tarot but with symbolic images that help you find the answers you are looking for from within. I love this game, I rarely ask it questions regarding me as I don’t like to push what the universe has in store but love to star gate you if you want to stop by!"
