Nomadic, modern wildflower child-esque sums up the design scope of LA-based handmade accessory line, Cleobella.  Angela, alongside her husband Jim, officially launched an assortment of handmade statement pieces in 2008 after traveling the world for a solid year.  Jim’s love for surfing was the catalyst for this adventure, and they ‘set sail’ to discover more waves around the globe. With their intuitions as their guide, they set out to explore and immerse themselves in diverse cultures. It was in Southeast Asia, on the island of Bali, where a culture so brightly woven in tradition, simplicity and nature, gave Angela a renewed sense of self-discovery. Sketching by hand, Angela’s drawings and purpose began to align organically.  In an effort to share what she was experiencing, Angela’s travel inspired collection of handbags and accessories came to fruition.

The collection is comprised of handcrafted goods that are rich in texture and function. The use of washed leathers, vintage ikat fabric, recycled antique hardware, hand beaded and hand woven styles are truly a work of art.  Esteemed retailers worldwide have embraced Cleobella, as they continue to uphold a reputation of being impeccable in quality and unique in design.

Cleobella, named after Angela’s mother, Cleobelle, further set in motion this mission behind Angela’s gratitude and love for art and travel.  Enter 2011, and the name has reached celebrity status with the likes of Halle Berry and Jessica Alba wearing the artisan handbags.
